Do tab groups take up RAM

Answered By: Alejandro Henderson Date: created: Dec 14 2023

The fewer tabs and windows you keep open, the less RAM will be used. If you absolutely must have a lot of tabs open, you should use Tab Groups. Chrome does try to manage tabs so they dont eat up RAM so much. Tabs that havent been opened in a while will go to sleep.
